By the water

A walk through The Battery

At Manhattan’s southern tip, the harbour opens into view. Plan a walk among the paths and gardens around the weather: check the rain window first, then decide how far you want to go.

Look up

Around the World Trade Center

One World Trade Center soon draws your eyes upwards. For a walk between the buildings, conditions at ground level still matter. This is the location used for the forecast; the hourly outlook shows whether the evening is expected to cool.

The other side

Brooklyn Bridge Park

From the Brooklyn waterfront, Lower Manhattan becomes a skyline again. Stop to take in the view and you will notice the wind too. Check the forecast gusts and temperature for your visit, along with the park’s current notices.

New York

One location cannot cover the whole city

The forecast is centred on the location at One World Trade Center. A shaded street, a sunny square and the open waterfront can still feel different. The value on this page cannot follow every patch of shade, and one forecast cannot describe all five boroughs.

Weather guide

Follow New York’s clock

All weather times follow New York local time, including daylight saving time. It may already be the next day in Germany while New York is still in the evening. Check the date of a rain window as well as its time.

Before walking by the water, check wind and gusts alongside the rain forecast. Official warnings are available from the National Weather Service in New York.
