Weather in Hannover

Tuesday stays dry throughout, with no rain window calculated for the whole day. Under mostly cloudy skies and about three hours of sunshine, temperatures reach only 8–9 °C after 3 °C at dawn. The east to south-east wind picks up around midday and in the afternoon, with gusts of up to 34 km/h.

Late this afternoon the thermometer in Hannover still reads just under 11 °C, though the easterly wind already makes it feel cooler. It stays dry until evening, with the cloud breaking at times. This Monday is little more than a transition: the coming night brings the coldest morning of the next fortnight.

The sky clears and the temperature drops to 3 °C by early morning, feeling close to zero. The wind eases to light gusts overnight.

Rain returns on Wednesday: from 08:15 to 18:00 about 9 mm is expected, with a maximum of 11 °C. Thursday turns milder at 13 °C but stays windy, and further showers follow on Friday. Sunday is still open – the models range from 9 to 17 °C and from isolated to more than 20 mm of rain.

The past seven days averaged 12.7 °C in Hannover, some 2.5 degrees above the October normal of 10.2 °C, and at 6.8 mm only about half the rain of an average week fell. That mild, dry spell now ends: the next seven days point to a mean of 9.4 °C and around 45 mm of rain. Tuesday is the dry but cool handover day before the wettest stretch of the week begins on Wednesday.

Tomorrow the wind blows from east to south-east at 10 to 14 km/h, with gusts of up to 34 km/h around midday and in the afternoon. That is noticeable on open stretches at the edge of town and on bridges, especially on a bike.
