Monday evening in Munich stays dry at around 11 °C with broken cloud. After a high of just under 14 °C the temperature is now dropping quickly, and attention turns to a far more autumnal Tuesday of fog and barely 12 °C.

The night turns distinctly chilly, down to 5–6 °C, with thick fog forming towards morning. The easterly wind stays light, with gusts near 20 km/h.

Tuesday begins grey and foggy in Munich, with around 6 °C in the morning and no rain at any point in the day. The fog only lifts hesitantly after midday, when 11–12 °C and almost five hours of sunshine open a reasonable window for getting outside.

Wednesday turns unsettled: the first showers arrive around 04:45, and between 15:00 and 18:00 the chance of rain climbs above 80 per cent, with gusts reaching 40 km/h. Thursday stays windy, with gusts near 48 km/h and a few showers, before Friday becomes the friendliest day of the week at 14–15 °C and largely dry. The weekend looks blustery, with gusts around 55 km/h on Saturday and roughly 12 mm of rain on Sunday.

The retrospective data for the past week show a mild October: 21.6 °C on 16 October, then a cooler, cloudier air mass from Saturday that brought just over 5 mm of rain on 17 October. There is no run of hot days, with nights already down in single figures. Tuesday is the quietest day of the week; the next meaningful rain appears in the data only on Wednesday.

Winds on Tuesday are light to moderate from the east to north-east, gusting to 23 km/h and easing further in the evening. From Wednesday afternoon gusts of around 30 km/h pick up, reaching 48 km/h on Thursday — worth bearing in mind on open stretches and bridges.
