Sunday begins wet in Hamburg: light rain falls until 10:00, with a probability of around 96 per cent. Most of the day's 5.6 mm, however, came down overnight. After that it stays dry until the evening, though temperatures struggle to 12–13 °C in the afternoon. The sky remains overcast throughout, so no sunshine is expected today.

The night stays dry with the cloud breaking at times. Temperatures drop to around 9 °C and the north-easterly wind eases a little.

Monday looks much brighter: after a chilly start at 7 °C the sun shines for almost nine hours and it stays dry. Around 12 °C is expected in the afternoon.

Tuesday cools to a high of just 10 °C and the sun barely shows. From Wednesday the rain returns, starting with a good 3 mm, followed by further showers on Thursday and Friday. By the weekend it turns windy as well.

Friday's mild 20 °C was the exception this week. Otherwise highs have sat between 13 and 16 °C since midweek, and Saturday brought 12.6 mm of rain. Today's dry spell after 10:00 is only a brief breather: from Wednesday Hamburg turns wetter again and temperatures fall back to around 10 °C.

The wind blows from the north-east at 15–18 km/h, with gusts up to 36 km/h that are most noticeable in the morning. Allow for that on exposed stretches along the Elbe and on bridges.
